Abeen app — last updated 10 October 2026

Abeen is an educational app that helps you prepare for the cooperative societies certification exam in the State of Kuwait. This page explains what the app collects, why, who it is shared with, and how you control it. It is written in plain language because it is a description of what actually happens, not a document to hide behind.

In short: we store your account, your questions and the app's answers to them, your practice results, your subscription status, and crash reports. We do not sell your data, show advertising, track your location, or use advertising analytics.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The operator of the Abeen app is the controller of the data described here. For anything concerning privacy, or to request deletion of your data, contact support@abeen.app.

2. What we collect

Account data

We do not ask for your full name, phone number, civil ID, or any identity document.

What you write and what you answer

Subscription data

Crash reports

When something breaks, the app sends a technical report containing the error type, its location in the code, and the app version. The report does not contain the text of your conversations, your email address, or your IP address; the user is reduced to an internal identifier only.

What we do not collect

3. Why we collect it

PurposeData used
Running your account and signing you inEmail and sign-in provider identifier
Showing your chat and practice history across your devicesQuestions, answers and results
Producing an answer grounded in the text of the lawYour question, sent to the model provider
Measuring your progress and identifying what needs revisionYour answers to questions
Improving content accuracy and correcting wrong questionsYour ratings and notes
Unlocking paid features and preventing subscription sharingPurchase receipt and subscription identifier
Publishing some opinions on abeen.app — only those whose author agreed, and only after we have read themThe opinion text and the display name they chose (never the email or account name)
Fixing crashesThe technical report
Finding where people get stuck in the app and at sign-inScreen numbers and sign-in steps
Sending you notificationsYour device's notification token
Giving the free 24-hour pass once per deviceThe scrambled device identifier

The legal basis for processing is your explicit consent — required before anything is stored, and shown to you on first launch — and performance of our contract with you in respect of the subscription.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your data. We use service providers who process data only on our behalf:

ProviderWhat reaches themWhy
Supabase Account, conversations, practice sessions, subscription Database and authentication
Google (Gemini model) The text of your question and of the related legal provisions Producing answers and practice questions
Apple / Google Play The purchase and its renewals, and your notification token Collecting and verifying the subscription, and delivering notifications
Bugsink The technical crash report only Detecting and fixing errors
Expo The app update request (contains none of your data) Delivering app updates
Important: when you ask a question in the app, the text of that question is sent to the model provider so an answer can be produced. Do not send anything through the chat that you would not want to leave your device, such as personal information or the affairs of a specific society.

We may disclose data where required by law or by an order of a competent court. We will tell you when that happens, unless we are prohibited from doing so.

5. Where it is stored and how long it is kept

6. When you delete a conversation

The conversation disappears from your list permanently, and we keep an unidentified copy of it — not linked to you or your account — to improve the content. We say so plainly because "delete" means less than this in many apps, and we do not want it to come as a surprise.

7. Your rights

8. Deleting your account and your data

In the app: Account → Delete account. It happens immediately, and you are asked to type your email address to confirm. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription — cancel it in the store first, or you will continue to be charged.

Or by email, if you cannot sign in: send a message from the email address registered on your account to support@abeen.app with the subject "Account deletion request".

What is deleted: the account, conversations, practice sessions and tests and their results, the display name, and the consent record.

What remains: purchase records we are required to keep for accounting purposes, the unidentified copies of conversations that are no longer linked to you, and notes you wrote on specific questions after they have been separated from your identity — because such a note is about the question, not about you.

We action an email request within thirty days and confirm it to you. Deletion from inside the app is immediate.

9. Children

Abeen is intended for adults preparing for a professional examination and is not directed at anyone under eighteen. If we learn that we have collected a child's data, we delete it.

10. Security

No system is perfectly secure, but we act on what we find and notify those affected where we are required to.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change anything material, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect, and update the date at the top of this page.

12. Contact
